In light of the Independence Day massacre that occurred in Highland Park, Illinois, many citizens - including myself - are having a hard time processing, coping and supporting one another during this time. Several agencies, individuals and businesses have stepped up to provide crisis support.

Compass Health Center is providing the community with online virtual support groups lead by clinicians trained in crisis. CHP notes that these support groups are educational and are not meant to be a substitute for actual treatment for trauma. Click here for a sharable flyer. Local community members of Highland Park created a comprehensive Google Doc with the GoFund Me pages of the families who were directly impacted by the shooting, MealTrain Links, community fundraisers, events, community space / offerings, free community services from local businesses, blood drives, mental and physical health resources, reading materials, and next steps.
